About
Novachrome started with a simple observation: almost everything on a dinner table is either disposable or precious. Plates you don't mind chipping, or plates you don't use. We wanted the third thing - pieces good enough to want, tough enough to use every day, and made of a material that doesn't degrade.
So: 304 stainless steel. Five pieces, each designed to be the best version of itself rather than part of a range. Steel doesn't chip, doesn't stain, doesn't fade, and doesn't care how many times it goes through the dishwasher.
The plate, bowl, cup and mug are finished in brushed satin. It softens the light across the table rather than throwing the room back at you, and it keeps fingerprints from becoming a daily fight. The dinnerware is double-layer, which gives it weight in the hand and keeps hot food comfortable to hold.
The cutlery is the exception. It stays mirror-polished, because it's the one thing on the table that should catch the light.
